“The will to win means nothing without the will to prepare.” – Juma Ikangaa
I am an active athlete who is passionate about achieving results and helping people to achieve big things, with milestone achievements in running, triathlon and other sports being a key focus. As an endurance athlete I know what is required to achieve goals that require dedication and commitment over a sustained period of time.
I have completed 12 marathons, including Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Gold Coast, Townsville & Honolulu. I have also completed 1 Olympic Distance and a handful of sprint distance triathlons. My personal achievements include improving my marathon personal best time to 2:53:23, completing my first Olympic distance triathlon and achieving level 2 qualification as a touch football referee. I am actively utilising Sportsmind coaching and techniques to continue to achieve big things, with future goals including further improvement to my marathon PB and progression to full ironman triathlon.
I enjoy cross training, with running and triathlon (swim, cycle, run) supported by strength training and yoga, as well as refereeing touch football and umpiring AFL in Townsville.
My coaching qualifications include level 2 running coach (middle and long distance) and Certificate Level IV in Fitness (Personal Training). I have worked with a number of people to help them achieve big things having coached 3 people to complete their first full marathon, many completed ½ marathons, lots of 10km personal best times, 3 first time Olympic distance triathlon, and I am a fitness coach for referee/umpire groups.
Contact me to begin to achieve big things.
